Your bunny can spend hours customizing it how they want by stripping ribbons of paper off it, chewing away at it to customize the entrances and even adding extra entrances.

The additional shelter it provides in a room will help your bunny feel more secure and give them a place to call their own in a room you share.

It's best to avoid products with print on them as eating the ink is not great and simple Cardboard castles are the best as your bunny will be more interested in a shape than its decoration it could be covered with.

Our review of the Cardboard rabbit house

We would not be without some sort of cardboard box for our bunnies to play in and they have often become so attached to the dens they have built over time that when they eventually fall apart, they have become quite upset

You can obviously use any box that is suitable, however we prefer these as we don't have to muck about removing tape or worry about where they have been stored and they obvious look a lot better.

We often combine these with other tunnel toys to make them even more fun especially if you through a few treats in as well.

Lastly it's worth noting that box munching can be noisy so you may want to keep this out of a bedroom, or you may be kept up all night.

How a Cardboard rabbit house can help you bunny proof your home

There are lots of ways a cardboard box can help with the bunny proofing you do around the home.

Rabbits love shredding and tearing things up with their teeth and a solid box will give than something to satisfy this need and hopefully distract them from seeking out wallpaper and soft coverings around your home.

Rabbits like to make a bit of noise occasionally and they will love batting or tossing these toys across a room when it lays in their path.

Be careful to check the ball you select it's for rabbits like the Plasic ball with bell as they can also be designed for cats. Cat toys are often made of soft material that may not stand up to a rabbit's chewing which if they then get eaten can be bad for your rabbit tummy.

If you have a smaller bread of rabbit, make sure it's not too big so your bunny can easily pick it up in their mouth and toss it about.

Our review of the Plastic rabbit ball with bell

Our bunnies have a habit of rolling these toys to the edge of the room or under furniture and unless we brought them out again, they tended to get ignored.

These toys are good to have when you want to play a game with your bunny and the bell helps keep their interest.

One game was to place a toilet roll tube on its end and balance the ball on top, then see how long it would last before our bunnies feel compelled to knock it over.

We did discover we had to keep this toy out of our bunnies enclose at night as our bunnies did tend to wake us up playing with it.

They also make a good filler for our bunnies digging box.

How a Plastic rabbit ball with bell can help you bunny proof your home

Although rabbits do not make much noise themselves, more than the odd grunt, this does not mean they do not dislike generating noise, especially when they think they are missing out on attention or are needy for something interesting to eat.

If for instance you keep your rabbit behind a door in a room or in an enclosure, it is common for them to try and create enough noise to get your attention.

This will mostly involve repeated chewing on the fencing of an enclosure or the frames of a door.

Unfortunately, this attention seeking can do quite a lot of damage over time and when it starts it can be extremely hard to stop.

Rabbits do not respond very well to training or discipline, and you are likely to correct this problem by telling them No!

This is why providing you rabbits with some alternative and acceptable ways to make some noise is essential.

4 Natural wood rabbit chew toy

wooden dumbbell bunny toy

Wooden toss toys are cheap and long-lasting toys that can be left out and enjoyed when you rabbits want to fling things about or nibble on something. They can also help wear down teeth which grow constantly throughout their lives.

They are made in a variety of shapes and sizes and often come bundled in a pack with a variety of different toys inside however the better sort to look out for are Wooden chew toys that are a more interesting shape rather than simple wooden blocks.so they can be easily held in the mouth and tossed about.

They are typically made of Apple wood or other untreated wooden material but can also be made of a variety of materials that are joined together such as Willow or String.

We would advise avoiding wooden chewing toys that have been stained with intense colors or that are glued together as this would not add any interest to your bunnies and may not be something you want your bunny to digest.

We have had some rabbits that have been fanatical chewers, and these toys are helpful to leave out in areas where they have made it a mission to chew at the soft wood.

Our review of the Natural wood rabbit chew toy

Although our bunnies did not find these toys interesting, they are very hard-wearing, so we found they were good to leave out in areas where our bunnies spend lengthy periods of time to keep unsupervised to keep them occupied.

We found it worked best to get a few different sorts, put some aside and swap them over occasionally to stop them being overlooked.

They also worked well as an addition filler in our bunnies digging box which is one of our bunnies favorite toys.

Stacking Cups are a simple toy for bunnies but are among the most popular toys you can buy because they are cheap, hard-wearing and can be lots of fun repeatedly.

They typically come in packs of 8 multicolored cups that increase in size from up to about 3 inches wide. They can nest inside each other or can be stacked on top of each other to make a tower about 14 inches tall.

They are made from the same safe and durable Material that you would typically find in children's toys so are resistant to chewing and you can be sure they won't shatter into shards if they break. They can be left out when your rabbit is unsupervised outside. Make sure you buy Stacking cups that are BPA-free, and ABS-free plastic to be safe and designed.

There are three main ways to use them. Firstly, you can use them as a foraging toy by placing a treat inside them then nesting them inside each other. Your rabbit will enjoy pulling them apart to get to the treats. Another use is to build a tower where your rabbit can smash down something they find surprisingly irresistible. Lastly, they make good toss toys your rabbits will enjoy tossing about and making a noise with.

They are cheap and are easy to tidy away and keep clean, which makes them an excellent choice if you are looking for an all-round toy for your rabbit.

Our review of the Stacking cups rabbit toy

Where this toy really came into its own as a winner was when we were spending time playing together without buns and we found lots of things to do that would keep us and them engaged for ages. It became a game we would play over and again to stack them up and our bunny never got bored of knocking them over.

We also use to stack them up when we let our bunnies out into a room and knocking them over would be the first thing they would do when they came rushing in. We also use to hide treats in them before we stacked them up and this would help make the treats last a bit longer as we were mindful of their diet which was mostly hay.

We did use to play similar games with old toilet roll tubes, however it was always a worry that they would eat a lot of the card, and these did become messy when people visited so these quickly replaced them as a safe and more attractive alternative.

How a Stacking cups rabbit toy can help you bunny proof your home

Stacking cups can be a wonderful way to satisfy a lot of the instinctive behavior that can lead to destruction in your home. Rabbits are natural foragers and in the wild they would always be on the lookout for new things to eat.

This behavior in your home can mean your rabbit will want to chew everything.] Unfortunately mean they may end up nibbling the soft wooden corners of the baseboards or stripping off the wallpaper on your walls.

Using stacking cups as a foraging toy by hiding treats in or under them will help provide an acceptable alternative to this natural behavior which can help avoid the destruction and costly repairs.

Overall
Great for rabbits that like to make a noise and toss toys about.

Our review of the Rabbit treat ball

This toy is great for when our bunnies are a bit bored and start being naughty by chewing our furniture or pulling things off our coffee table.

All we have to do is give it a bit of a rattle and our bunnies become completely distracted from what they were doing and come running out.

9 3 way collapsible rabbit tunnel

If your rabbit likes exploring then they will love this activity tunnel toy, The best thing about them is they are light weight and collapse down into a small package when you want to pack them away.

They are made from fabric stretched over wire springs and are make from a tough fabric that is nonabsorbent and wipes clean.

They often come with a hole in the middle which your rabbit can use to peep out of and can be great for popping some treats down to make it even more fun.

This is a big rabbit toy and will take up a lot more room than a single tunnel toy. This does help make them a lot more stable as they spread out which makes them very stable when your rabbit shifts its weight about inside or dives into it.

Although they are larger than regular activity tunnels you can still pack them away neatly in much the same way so you can store them when not needed.

These toys can be a bit narrower so it's best to check the size or make sure you get a Large 3 way collapsible tunnel especially if you have a larger bread.

It's also worth checking that the toy you are looking for is designed with rabbits in mind as they are sold alongside cat toys that may be unsuitable. These cat toys typically come with a pompom in the entrance which your rabbit is likely to chew and eat.

If you want to make this even more fun for your rabbit you can buy them as a part of a tunnel and tent system that lets you join them together to build a warren that your rabbit will love.

Our review of the 3 way collapsible rabbit tunnel

We leave one of these out pretty much permanently as our bunny seems to be more comfortable with the shelter it offers in the room.

It's good because it breaks the room up a bit but is easy to step over. We have even stepped on it a few times and it always seems to spring back.

Our bunnies like the rustle noise it makes when they dig into it and spend more time jumping over and on it than running through it which is still good.

We like the peep hole in the center as we use this to drop some treats through which always encourages out rabbit to go inside.

How a 3 way collapsible rabbit tunnel can help you bunny proof your home

Rabbits instinctively explore narrow spaces like behind your couch or under furniture.

Unfortunately, these spaces can lead your rabbits to danger as couches can be pushed back which can crush an unsuspecting rabbit or have materials such as long strands of synthetic material that may be harmful if digested.
