2 Wooden hidden treat toys

wooden hide toss bunny toy

Wooden hidden treat toys Wooden hidden treat toys are great for bunnies that enjoying foraging and toss toys about. They are made from a block of wood with cups cut into it that have pegs over the top of them so your rabbit will have to pull these out to get to the treats as well as chewing on the wood itself.

We much prefer these to the plastic versions of these toys as they are a bit heavier which stops them moving about and that make less noise.

3 Cardboard castles

cardboard castle bunny toy

If you had to choose between all the chew toys here that will keep your bunny busy then a cardboard castles is the winner. Your bunny can spend hours customising it how they want by stripping ribbons of paper off it and chewing away at it to customise the entrances. The additional shelter it provides in a room will also help you bunny feel more secure and happy. Its best to avoid products with heavy print on them as eating the ink is not great and simple Cardboard castles Cardboard castles are the best as your bunny will be more interested in a shape then its decoration anyway.

We would not be without some sort of cardboard box for our bunny to play in and have had some bunnies that have become so attached to the dens the dens they have built over time that when they eventually fall apart and we take them away have become quite upset with us, at least until a new one has arrived. You can obviously use any box that is suitable however we prefer these as we don't have to muck about removing tape or worrying about where they have been stored and they obvious look a lot better. Lastly its worth noting that box munching can be noisy so you may want to keep this out of a bedroom or you may be kept up all night.

Our verdict

Way more styleish then a cardboard box.

    4 Snuggle tunnel

    snuggle tunnel bunny toy

As the name suggests Snuggle tunnelsSnuggle tunnels are a combination of a pet bed and a small tunnel. They have soft padded sides and base which would keep your rabbit insulated from a cold floor. The base is more stable then a thinner cloth tunnel so more comfortable for your bunny to nest in. These toys are often quite small so may be better for smaller breads. They are also machine washable which is great as areas where bunnies nest in can get a bit messy over time.

We have hard floors in our home so we got one these to provide a bit of comfort. Out bunny did like to sit in it from time to time when he was resting but more half off then half on it.

    Our verdict

The perfect toy for playing in and nesting. A great way to offer a bit of comfort in an area with a hard floor.

    5 Plastic peg logic game

    hide toss bunny toy

Hidden treat toysHidden treat toys are great for clever bunnies. These plastic toys typically contain pegs that can be pulled out or slid in a groove to reveal hidden goodies. Your bunny may be confused at first, but they will soon learn that a bit of effort pays of with a tasty treat.

We have used these toys with a lot our bunnies all with different results. Some have liked playing with them and would go to work as soon as they were loaded up however other bunnies we have had have mostly got ignored them. We tried it on out on our Continental Giant, he simply smashed it on the floor until all the treats fell out so we had to take it away from him much to his disappointment! The plastic can get noisy so given the choice a more natural wooden peg toy would be a better buy.

    Our verdict

Great for rabbits that like take their time exploring and can make plying with your bunny more fun too.
