For everyone contemplating free roaming your buns... DO IT.
Over the past 3-4 months I've slowly been increasing my buns unsupervised time while loose in my bunny-proofed bedroom and they've been nothing but absolutely amazing! (Other then a few stray poops and shredded boxes lol) I've never seen my rabbits so happy.
I was pretty nervous to start free roaming in the beginning but after figuring out what works and what doesn't with my specific rabbits,
I wish I would've done it sooner! It's all about trial and error when starting the free roaming process, be prepared for everything but don't be anxious. You definitely need to know your rabbits/‘s personality and interests before going in to it but once you do that, you got it!
Thumper is the Mini Lop, he's about 2 and a half years old.n
Aurora is the Dutch, she's about 3 and a half years old.

Here's what I've figured out with my buns-
They DO like:
- Going under my bed/the shelving unit
- Chewing cords
- Chewing clothes
- Chewing plastic baby gates
- Jumping onto higher surfaces
- Zoomies and Binkies in an open area
The DON'T like:
- Chewing on baseboards
- Chewing metal baby gates
- Chewing/digging carpet
Here's a pic of their set up (I've chosen to leave their pen up so they have a ‘home base') and some of the bunny-proofing I've done!
